I've created this blog so that I can help some super 30 owners with a particular problem that might occur with the reverb. In some cases the reverb does not seem to be working correctly and the tube dedicated to this function gets consumed very fast!
What to do.
Turn off the amp and remove the cable. Unscrew and Take out the reverb rank. Remove the two RCA lids (input & output) and examine closely the inner side of the tank just where the RCA lids used to be.
You will see that the hot contacts the ground - something that shouldn' t happen - Bend this contact away off the ground so that they don;t touch each other no more!
Seems like somebody who tried to push the RCA lid into the hole put his/her finger on the inside of the tank and Bent the acrofision so that it made contact with the ground, short circuit.
Just examine carefully both sides of the inner tank and be sure everything is in order.
If you are not sure what to do, just contact a technician, he will spot the problem immediately.
